Fresubin HP Energy 1000ml:@@:

An unflavoured liquid consisting of protein (milk), fat (soya, MCT, linseed and fish oils), carbohydrate (maltodextrin), vitamins, minerals and trace-elements. Lactose and gluten free. 

PRESENTATION 

Fresubin® HP energy is a 1.5kcal/ml liquid, ready to use fibre free tube feed. Fresubin® HP energy is presented in 500ml and 1000ml EasyBag.

INDICATIONS FOR USE 

Fresubin® HP energy is intended for the dietary management of patients with high protein and energy needs. Fresubin® HP energy is prescribable on FP10/GP10 for the following indications: short bowel syndrome, intractable malabsorption, pre-operative preparation of patients who are undernourished, patients with proven inflammatory bowel disease, following total gastrectomy, bowel fistulae, disease related malnutrition, CAPD and haemodialysis. 

DOSAGE 

Dosage should be calculated by a clinician or dietitian according to individual requirements. As a guide: For complete nutrition: 1500ml provides 2250kcal and 112.5g protein and meets the average adult recommended daily requirements for vitamins, minerals and trace-elements (Dietary Reference Values for Food, Energy and Nutrients for the United Kingdom, DH 1991). When commencing tube feeding, it is recommended that the full dosage of Fresubin® HP energy is introduced gradually over 2-3 days.

STORAGE 

Store in a cool (15-25ºC) dry place away from direct sunlight. Once opened, the maximum hanging time is 24 hours, discard any unused contents after 24 hours.

12 months from date of manufacture.
