Fortini Multi Fibre is a Food for Special Medical Purposes, designed for the dietary management of disease-related malnutrition in children from 1 year of age (weighing over 8 kg). It is a nutritionally complete, ready-to-drink sip feed providing 1.5 kcal per ml, with added fibre to support healthy digestion.
Each bottle contains 1.5 g of multi fibre per 100 ml, with a balanced blend of 60% soluble and 40% insoluble fibre. This formulation helps support normal bowel function while delivering essential energy and nutrients.
Fortini Multi Fibre may be used to supplement the diet of children who are unable to meet their nutritional needs through normal food intake. It is also suitable as a sole source of nutrition for children aged 1–6 years, or those weighing 8–20 kg, in accordance with medical guidance (see precautions).
Fortini Multi Fibre is supplied in 200 ml bottles with a flexible straw for easy drinking and is available in four flavours: strawberry, vanilla, neutral, chocolate and banana.
Indications
For enteral use only. ACBS approved, prescribable on form FP10 (GP10 in Scotland) for the following indications:
• disease related malnutrition
• growth failure
Contraindications
Not suitable for infants under 1 year of age. Not suitable for patients with galactosaemia, or patients requiring a fibre free diet.
Precautions
Due to the fibre content, intakes greater than 4 bottles per day should be used with caution.
Preparation and Directions for usage
Fortini Multi Fibre is best served chilled. It may be frozen or gently heated (not boiled). Shake well before opening.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place (5-25°C). Once opened, Fortini Multi Fibre should be consumed within four hours, or stored in a refrigerator for up to 24 hours. Discard unused contents thereafter.
