Renilon 7.5 is a Food for Special Medical Purposes for use under medical supervision. Renilon 7.5 is an energy dense, 2kcal/ml, low electrolyte, ready to drink, milk tasting nutritional supplement with added vitamins and minerals. Renilon 7.5 is suitable for use in patients who require a low electrolyte and/or fluid restricted diet.  Renilon 7.5 is available in a cluster pack of 6 x 125ml cartons, in 2 flavours: Apricot and Caramel.

Indications

For enteral use only. ACBS approved, prescribable on form FP10 (GP10 in Scotland) for the following indications: short bowel syndrome; intractable malabsorption; preoperative preparation of undernourished patients; inflammatory bowel disease; total gastrectomy; dysphagia; bowel fistulae; disease related malnutrition.

Contraindications 

Not for intravenous use. Not suitable for infants and children under 3 years of age. Not suitable for patients with galactosaemia.

Precautions

Only to be used as a supplement to the normal diet. Not suitable for use as a sole source of nutrition. Use with caution in children aged 3-6 years.

Directions for use

Renilon 7.5 is ready to drink and is best served chilled. Shake well before use.
