Peptamen® Vanilla Cup is a 1.0 kcal/ml peptide-based liquid sip feed formulated for optimal digestion and absorption for patients with impaired GI function. It is a 100% whey protein formula with 70% of the fat as MCT. Peptamen® is a nutritionally complete Food for Special Medical Purposes for use under medical supervision.

Indications:
ACBS approved, prescribable on FP10 (GP10 in Scotland). Indicated for patients as a sole or supplemental source of nutrition on medical grounds for short bowel syndrome, intractable malabsorption, proven inflammatory bowel disease and bowel fistulae.
Administration and Dosage:
For enteral feeding only. Suitable as a sole source of nutrition. Nutritionally complete in 1600ml (8 x 200ml per day). Can be flavoured with Nestlé Nutrition Flavour Mix. As a guide, add 2 scoops of Nestlé Nutrition Flavour Mix per 100ml to help increase variety. The number of scoops required may be adjusted according to individual taste preference.
Shelf life and Storage:
Shelf life of 9 months from date of manufacture. Store unopened at room temperature. Once opened re-cover, refrigerate and use within 24 hours. Best served chilled.
Contraindications:
- Not for intravenous use.
- Not suitable for children under 1 year of age.
Precautions:
- To be used with caution in children under 5 years of age.
- Must be used under medical supervision.
