INDICATIONS
Short bowel syndrome; intractable malabsorption; preoperative preparation of undernourished patients; inflammatory bowel disease; total gastrectomy; dysphagia; bowel fistulae; feeding intolerances, developmental disabilities, disease related malnutrition for children greater than 1 year of age
ADMINISTRATION AND DOSAGE
Shake well before use. Suitable as a sole source of nutrition. Nutritionally complete in:
1–3 years: 700ml*
4–6 years: 929ml*
7–10 years: 1000ml**
11–14 years: 1450ml**
15–18 years: 1800ml**
*excluding Na **excluding Na, K & Cl
SHELF LIFE AND STORAGE
Shelf life 12 months from date of manufacture. Store unopened in a cool, dry place. 250ml SimpLink®: Once opened, use within 12 hours. Refrigerate unused portion between uses. Discard product left after 12 hours from original bottle opening. 500ml: Once spiked used within 24 hours. Unused portion can be recapped, refrigerated and used within 24 hours. In order to maintain a constant flow, the use of a pump is recommended.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
nsuitable for those with an allergy to fish or cows’ milk protein allergy, and/or galactosaemia.
PRECAUTIONS
Compleat® paediatric must be used under medical supervision. Suitable for children above 1 year of age. For enteral use only. Do not mix food or medication into the feed.
For the 500ml if used for bolus feeding, it is not suitable for post- pyloric or jejunal feeding.
For 250ml to be used via a gastrostomy tube only
