Nutriprem 2 is specifically developed for preterm and low birthweight infants. This is a specialist preterm nutrition which helps promote catch up growth to 6 months corrected age. Nutriprem 2 contains prebiotic oligosaccharides and LCPs and is nutritionally complete to help ensure your newborn gets all the nutrients it needs to help them grow and develop.
Aptamil Nutriprem 2 Post Discharge Formula is a food for special medical purposes. It is a nutrient-rich formulation, which has been developed to meet the increased nutritional needs of preterm and low birthweight infants prior to and once discharged from hospital. It is part of the nutriprem range, the only complete range of feeds with prebiotic oligosaccharides (OS) specially formulated for preterm and low birthweight infants. Aptamil Nutriprem 2 Post Discharge Formula has higher levels of nutrients than infant milks to enable optimum catch-up growth and development for preterm infantsIt can be used for infants until 6 months corrected age. It is nutritionally complete – enriched with prebiotic OS, long chain polyunsaturated fatty acids (LCPs), nucleotides, vitamins and minerals to meet the requirements of growing preterm bottlefed infants after hospital discharge.

Indications
ACBS approved, prescribable on form FP10 (GP10 in Scotland) for the following indications: suitable for catch up growth in preterm and small for gestational age infants, until 6 months corrected age
Contra-indications
Not suitable for intravenous use. Levels of most vitamins and minerals in Aptamil Nutriprem 2 post discharge formula are higher than in infant milks used for term infants. Aptamil Nutriprem 2 post discharge formula is nutritionally complete, therefore additional nutrient supplementation may not be needed for bottle-fed preterm infants post discharge.

Storage
Aptamil Nutriprem 2 post discharge formula ready-to-feed 200ml bottles must be refrigerated immediately after opening and used within 8 hours.
