Scones (serves 14) – Ensure Plus Fibre Vanilla


  • 1 pack of Ensure® Plus Fibre vanilla (200ml)
  • Self raising flour (450g)
  • White sugar (50g)
  • Pinch of salt
  • Margarine (185g)
  • Whole milk (50ml)
  • Method:

    • Preheat the oven to 180°C / 350°F / Gas Mark 4
    • In a large mixing bowl, sieve together the flour, sugar and salt
    • With a knife, cut the margarine into small chunks and add to the flour mixture
    • Work the flour mixture with your fingertips until a breadcrumb texture is formed
    • Add Ensure® Plus Fibre and milk, small amounts at a time, until a firm dough is formed
    • Roll out onto a floured surface and cut the dough into round circles, approximately 1 inch thick
    • Bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes
    • Serve either warm or cold

    Serving suggestions:

    • Top with butter, jam and cream
