Irish Stew (serves 5) – Ensure TwoCal Neutral


  • 1 pack of Ensure® TwoCal neutral (200ml)
  • Beef or lamb (800g)
  • Bouquet of parsley, thyme and bayleaf
  • 3 large onions, finely chopped
  • 3 carrots, chopped
  • 1 small turnip, chopped
  • 1 leek, chopped
  • 10 potatoes (600g)
  • Cabbage, shredded (75g)
  • Water
  • Worcester sauce


  • Cut the meat into chunks
  • Place the meat, bouquet of herbs, onions, carrots, turnip and leek into a stock pot, cover with water and simmer gently for 1 hour
  • Skim off the foam as it rises
  • Add the potatoes and continue cooking for 25 minutes
  • Add the cabbage for the last 5 minutes
  • When the meat and vegetables are cooked, remove the bouquet of herbs
  • Stir through Ensure® TwoCal, chopped parsley, dash of Worchester sauce and heat through
  • Transfer to a bowl and serve
