Scones (serves 14) - Ensure Plus Vailla

Ingredients:

1 pack of Ensure® Plus vanilla (200ml)

Self raising flour (450g)

White sugar (50g)

Pinch of salt

Margarine (185g)

Milk (50ml)

Method:

1.       Preheat the oven to 180°C / 350°F / Gas Mark 4

2.       In a large mixing bowl, sieve together the flour, sugar and salt

3.       With a knife, cut the margarine into small chunks and add to the flour mixture

4.       Work the flour mixture with your fingertips until a breadcrumb texture is formed

5.       Add Ensure® Plus and milk, small amounts at a time, until a firm dough is formed

6.       Roll out onto a floured surface and cut the dough into round circles, approximately 1 inch thick

7.       Bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes

8.       Serve either warm or cold

Serving suggestions:

Top with butter, jam and cream
