Irish Stew (serves 5) - Ensure TwoCal Neutral


1 pack of Ensure® TwoCal neutral (200ml)

Beef or lamb (800g)

Bouquet of parsley, thyme and bayleaf

3 large onions, finely chopped

3 carrots, chopped

1 small turnip, chopped

1 leek, chopped

10 potatoes (600g)

Cabbage, shredded (75g)


Worcester sauce


1.       Cut the meat into chunks

2.       Place the meat, bouquet of herbs, onions, carrots, turnip and leek into a stock pot, cover with water and simmer gently for 1 hour

3.       Skim off the foam as it rises

4.       Add the potatoes and continue cooking for 25 minutes

5.       Add the cabbage for the last 5 minutes

6.       When the meat and vegetables are cooked, remove the bouquet of herbs

7.       Stir through Ensure® TwoCal, chopped parsley, dash of Worchester sauce and heat through

8.       Transfer to a bowl and serve
