Fresubin Complete 1000:@@: An unflavoured liquid consisting of protein (milk), fat (rapeseed, sunflower, fish oil), carbohydrate (maltodextrin), fibre (inulin, wheat dextrin and cellulose), vitamins, minerals and trace-elements. Lactose and gluten free.
Fresubin® 1000 Complete is a 1kcal/ml liquid, ready to use tube feed which is nutritionally complete in 1000ml (1000kcal) Fresubin® 1000 Complete is presented in a 1000ml EasyBag.

INDICATIONS FOR USE
Fresubin® 1000 Complete is suitable for conditions where a low energy intake is required, for example overweight, elderly or immobile patients with low energy needs who require enteral tube feeding. Fresubin® 1000 Complete is prescribable on FP10/GP10 for the following indications: short bowel syndrome, intractable malabsorption, pre-operative preparation of patients who are undernourished, patients with proven inflammatory bowel disease, following total gastrectomy, dysphagia, bowel fistulae, disease related malnutrition.
DOSAGE
Dosage should be calculated by a clinician or dietitian according to individual requirements. As a guide: For complete nutrition: 1 x 1000ml EasyBag provides 1000kcal and 55g protein and meets the average adult recommended daily requirements for vitamins and trace-elements. (Dietary Reference Values for Food, Energy and Nutrients for the United Kingdom, DH 1991). When commencing tube feeding, it is recommended that the full dosage of Fresubin® 1000 Complete is introduced gradually over 2–3 days.
STORAGE
Store in a cool, dry place (15-25ºC) away from direct sunlight. Once opened, the maximum hanging time is 24 hours, discard any unused contents after 24 hours.

Nutritionally complete refers to volumes that meet the RNIs for micronutrients excluding electrolytes (sodium, potassium, chloride). Recommended Daily Dosage (RDD) refers to the volume feeds are complete in and can be used as a sole source of nutrition
